The traditional guest house Kastanies is the creation of a city person, who having lived its harsh rhythms, dreampt of a place that would guarantee him a different way of living.
He got to live in Tsagarada and was fascinated by the natural beauty, the sea, the perfumed air, the easy and peaceful way of life that the place gave him, and knowing that were many ( city ) people like him, who would love to sample all those things he was constantly discovering, he decided to renovate a traditional building of 1898, so he would be able to host and accommodate them.
With great love, knowledge and good ideas, he created the guest house, using natural materials that create warmness and decorated it with authentic art objects.
Giannis Siniosoglou, since the age of 15, was constantly collecting Greek folklore objects, paintings, carpets and ceramics. His ceramic collection is unique. Wanting to share their beauty with the lucky ones, who would enter the green covered garden with the chestnut trees ( KASTANIES ), they were used within Kastanies Guest House, in the best way he believed they deserved it.
The guesthouse has a total of five rooms, two of them with fire place, with wooden beds, hand decorated and painted wardrobes by folklore painter and stainsills screen painting from Tyrnavos, paintings of famous Greek painters and fully equipped with all the modern comforts ( central heating, air condition, TV, mini bar, safe box, bathroom with hair dryer, organic cosmetics and many more ). The rooms all offer a very relaxing and comfortable environment.
At the lowest level of the guesthouse is the living room with the fireplace and the breakfast dining area. As for the breakfast, which is served until 13:00, this is completed by warm homemade bread, rich homemade marmalades, organic eggs (cooked in the way you want), juices, cakes and all the kinds of coffee and bevarages.
Anyone can relax listening good music, reading poetry or folklore architecture books, next to the fire place or in the rich green and colourful garden.
Tree trunks and wood carved by the sea, became the perfect flower pots for plants who found the ideal way to develop. Under the pergolas and the big trees of the garden, is the open (al fresco) dining area like an opening in the forest. Handmade tables and chairs by tree trunks offer the suggestion to enjoy the countryside with all the senses.
The Guest House Kastanies has safe parking area and pets are most welcome.
